Howard Miller has just introduced the new Howard Miller Terance 611-240 grandfather clock. This is a new model with a unique style by adding a three section door and sides. Real Russian Walnut burl veneers are overlaid onto real wood solids across the top of the clock. The burl is also “bookmatched” which is astonishing when given this mirroring treatment to the walnut burl. The raw wood is cut into to sections and then the sections are reversed so the two adjoining surfaces are produced from the same piece of wood. This produces two sections of carefully match woods that they have almost exactly the same grain structure, but mirrored.
Beveled glass is found across both door sections and the sides of this grandfather clock. The German made Kieninger movement plays 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 chimes accordingly with full chime and strike on the hour. Automatic nighttime chime shut-off lever.
